Ometepe Oasis of peace, named as a Biosphere reserve, is located in the somewhat Cocibolca (one hour ferry ride) this beautiful island has two volcanoes, Concepción and Maderas, Today we will visit its capital Altagracia and visit its Numismatic and Pre-Hispanic art such as the pottery of our native ometepinos, we will visit the Charco Verde Nature Reserve to learn about its butterfly garden and walk around a small lagoon that is home to countless migratory waterbirds and monkeys, reptilian congos and many trees and medicinal plants. Continued visit to Finca el Porvenir where we will take our island lunch and take advantage of the wonderful view of the Maderas Volcano. Late afternoon return to the port and ferry to San Jorge, return to the reserved hotel.
